Oxford Stadium will be parading two recently retired greyhounds this evening who are now in search of their loving forever home!
Luminous Socks and Avion Soraya will be wondering around the public viewing spaces meetings racegoers with our #LovedInRetirement volunteers Wayne and Liz Mazey.
Luminous Socks ran his final race at Oxford on February 21 and raced 11 times during a two-year racing career. He is based with Terence Nevin and is a real kennel favourite and will turn four in September.
Socks is a very laid back and placid character who gets on with everyone. He walks very well on the lead and is fantastic with children and small-breed dogs.
Our second retired greyhound is Soraya, aka Avion Soraya. She celebrated her third birthday on Monday and retired from racing in January after winning five of 25 races. Soraya would suit an active family and is very good around children. She can be quite bouncy on her walks, but will make a perfect family pet.
