An Oxfordshire based engineering firm has established a new headquarters at Oxford Stadium as part of a wider commercial agreement ahead of its reopening this spring.

Collaborative Engineering Services will provide its project and commercial services, focusing on Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE), to the multi-purpose venue which will serve as a new base for its business.

As part of the agreement, Collaborative Engineering Services will also become title sponsors of Oxford Stadium’s executive suites, which were recently refurbished to provide visitors with the VIP experience on race nights in addition to hosting events and conferences.

The business was founded by Chris Gregory and Lesley Vernon in 2020 and recently partnered with German-based electric scooter and motorcycle producers TiSTO as its UK distribution partner.

Current projects to deliver new energy solutions and electric mobility are being fulfilled with start-up companies and large multi-national corporations

Lisa Hust, Commercial Operations Manager at Oxford Stadium, said: “We’re grateful for the support Collaborative Engineering Services has provided to Oxford Stadium through our regeneration project and are delighted to have them on board as partners.

“The agreement will add the finishing touches to our modernised executive suites with the company’s branding emblazoned at the entry to each space. We’re also pleased to provide a permanent base for Collaborative Engineering Services’ day-to-day operations and look forward to developing this partnership further.

“Like so many people we are speaking to, Chris and Lesley have a strong connection to Oxford Stadium through its previous provisions and cannot wait to see it reopen in spring.”

Collaborative Engineering Services will also sponsor the world-famous Oxford Cheetahs in its return to British Speedway, 15 years after the club last lined up at tapes.

Chris Gregory explained he and Lesley have many fond memories of attending speedway meetings in Oxford and cannot wait to see the Cheetahs back on track.

He added: “We are really excited to be part of the journey to bring Oxford Stadium back into the hands of the community.

“We love the vision and that the stadium will become a multi-purpose venue where visitors can not only enjoy greyhound racing and speedway but also other community-focused activities and programmes.

“Its return will provide a much-needed place for children and adults to enjoy its services. We are looking forward to working with the team and helping to make the stadium a success by placing it at the heart of the community.

“We believe success comes from people and creating the right atmosphere to work in, which is why we had to be involved in Oxford Stadium’s regeneration.”

Founded in 2020, Collaborative Engineering Services is a project management and engineering company providing green energy solutions and products to the engineering sector.
