Greyhound Racing – 2023 fixtures confirmed

Oxford Stadium can confirm changes to its weekly greyhound racing schedule, with the number of meetings increasing to four each week with immediate effect.

Fixtures will now be held on Monday and Tuesday evenings plus Thursday mornings with a fourth meeting scheduled for Friday evenings which will be televised globally via Racing Post Greyhound TV.

The change means our Saturday evening fixture will not take place during January to protect the short-term racing strength during this transition period. It is planned for Saturday evening racing to return in February, taking the total number of fixtures each week to five.

A full break down of our racing schedule in 2023 can be viewed below:

Mondays – 12 races: 6.17pm-9.18pm.

Tuesdays – 12 races: 10.46am-1.33pm.

Thursdays – 12 races: 10.46am-1.33pm.

Fridays – 11 races: 6.17pm-9.18pm.

A full update on the return of Saturday evening meetings will be issued as soon as possible.

Racegoers should also note two Category One competitions will be held in January – the BGBF British Bred Puppy Cup over 450m and the WKH Development Services Diamond Stakes over 847m.

Both competitions will be open to 24 greyhounds and held over three consecutive Friday nights, with the winner of each event scooping £10,000. The top three greyhounds from each race will progress to the following week with Round One scheduled to start on Friday, January 13.
