Every week at Oxford Stadium, we shine a light on a greyhound in search of a loving forever home as part of our #LovedInRetirement campaign.
This week, we’re introducing to do Outdoor Alert – a beautiful bitch born in August 2020 who made her final track appearance at Oxford last Monday.
Her career started in Limerick before she was brought over to the UK to be based with Terence Nevin. From 24 starts – including trials – Outdoor Alert was first past the post on six occasions and won her last race at Henlow on October 2.
Her racing days are now finished, though, and this lovely sweet girl will parade at Oxford this Saturday meeting punters who might wish to home her. Outdoor Alert really is a low maintenance greyhound.
She walks excellently on the lead, loves children and will stand for hours having a good groom. Her favourite walk is around the woods although she loves running in the open countryside too!
Outdoor Alert will be paraded by our retired greyhound volunteers Wayne and Liz Mazey on Friday. Anyone interested in homing her can either meet her in person on Friday night or contact Wayne for a viewing via 07969 263560.
