It’s time to meet Oxford Stadium’s first Retired Greyhound of the Week in search of a loving forever home!
As part of our Loved in Retirement campaign, every week we’ll be shining a light on a friendly, happy and caring four-legged friend who is available to adopt right now.
This week’s Retired Greyhound of the Week is Leon, aka Waikiki Seat.
Leon is four years old and ran his final race at Oxford Stadium on Thursday, September 15, when finishing third in a A2 contest over 450-metres.
From 93 total runs – including trials – Leon won an outstanding 28 races but is now ready to wind down after a fantastic racing career.
He is laid back, loves his food, walks very well on a lead and is used to the company of children. Please note, Leon has a very high prey drive and has not been tested with small breed dogs or cats.
If you are interested in learning more about Leon and potentially rehoming him, contact Wayne Mazey on 07969 263560 who will be able to supply further information and put you in touch with trainer Karen Dodington.
